I have been admitted to practice since 2001 in the State of New York.  I am fluent in Russian and conversational Spanish. I regularly represent injured workers before the New York State Workers' Compensation Board. I advocate for and protect their rights against the insurance carriers or employers. I negotiate resolutions and settlements with carriers to maximize our clients' benefits. I take testimony from medical and lay witnesses in disputed cases. I argue appeals before the Worker's Compensation Board Panel of Commissioners and write appeals and rebuttals.

 Unfortunately, the workplace is still one of the most dangerous places in the world. With employers more focused on reducing labor costs and/or competition from China, workplace safety frequently takes a back seat. Because of this, workplace injuries and workers' compensation claims are far too common. When injuries do happen, employers often try to discourage the worker from exercising his/her rights under the New York State Workers' Compensation Law. However, in order for you to protect your right to lifetime medical care under the workers' compensation system, you must send a claim on a specific form to the Workers' Compensation Board. Simply having your employer fill out an accident report will not protect you. You can obtain this special form from either Turley, Redmond & Rosasco, LLP or the New York State Workers' Compensation Board. Failure to file this special form within two years of your injury or illness could endanger your right to lifetime benefits. Therefore, unless your injury is minor requiring no more than one doctor's visit, you should consult with an experienced and qualified workers' compensation attorney as soon as possible.

My associate is Dr. Sathiya Eswarathasan (known affectionately as Dr. Es). She is eminently qualified, having finished a four-year residency. She has been with me for over three years, and has proven herself to be a caring physician who has the skill to determine what will work best for the patients. She’s a local success story, having grown up on Long Island, and graduated from Holy Trinity High School in Hicksville.

So what makes one doctor’s office different than another? First, the credentials – as you can see above, that’s not a problem here. We probably spend more money each year on continuing education than most others do. That’s how you stay fresh and at the cutting edge. Second, and possibly more important, is the way you are treated by the staff and the doctors. You’ll find our staff members to be among the friendliest, most courteous and most helpful of any doctor’s office you’ve ever been to.

As my friend Ralph from BNI said, this “is not a supermarket practice”. We take the time to listen to you and to treat you as an individual. We generally run on time, valuing your time as much as ours (although emergencies do happen).

Other niceties? Plenty of parking. Lots of new magazines. A friendly and cozy atmosphere. VERY kid friendly. Both Dr Es and I take the time to explain your problem to you, in English, not in jargon. A frequently heard comment from patients is “Why didn’t my other doctor tell me that?” Beats me – that’s our job, though.

Although we’re “high-touch” and friendly, we’re also equipped with the latest in diagnostic and treatment tools. Of course we take X-rays. But we also have a fluoroscope and a diagnostic ultrasound machine that may save you a trip for an MRI.

Which services do we offer? Everything from cutting nails and calluses, to fairly sophisticated foot surgery – performed either in the office or in the hospital – it depends upon what the patient needs. We treat foot fractures, heel pain, skin problems… We even perform biopsies - and have found a number of malignant melanomas and other varieties of skin cancer. Feet can be funny, but they can kill you, too.
