Todd J. Geller is a locally well-known Financial Consultant. For over twenty years, Todd has helped retirees and pre-retirees plan for the future through his frequent educational presentations and public speaking engagements. Todd especially enjoys helping people plan their retirement years and has often helped people avoid some of the most costly financial mistakes. Mistakes such as paying too much in taxes, not getting enough income, and taking too much risk in their investments to name a few.
Todd believes that “every investor is unique, with his or her own set of values and financial goals and needs. Wealth is built with sound investment strategies forged through strong relationships based on integrity and trust. These ideals have always guided my relationships with clients and will continue to do so.” This belief has helped Todd create strong bonds with his clients over the years. Todd currently works with over three-hundred families and in many cases has helped parents, children, and grandchildren plan for their futures.
You can often find Todd all over Long Island and the tri-state area hosting his frequent educational workshops and presentations. Todd hosts approximately 30 to 40 of these programs every year and lectures extensively on over 20 different financial topics. Over the years, Todd has been welcomed into many different groups and organizations. Some of the more well-known groups that have invited Todd to speak are Northrop Grumman Retiree Group, the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP), the National Association of Retired Federal Employees (NARFE), United Airlines Retirees, and various other civic, fraternal, community, and retiree organizations. Todd has also been a welcomed guest at many local libraries, religious facilities, and senior centers.
Todd believes it is important to stay abreast of the current financial environment. Todd has attended the Harvard Institute for Financial Planning and has also attended the Institute of Wealth Management hosted by the Wharton School of Business to obtain the designation of Accredited Wealth Management Advisor.
Todd obtained the designation of Accredited Wealth Management Advisor (AWMA) by enrolling in a rigorous six-month course taught at Wharton. Over those six months Todd gained advanced, yet practical knowledge about these critical aspects of the financial services industry: asset management, allocation, and selection; investment performance and strategies; and taxation of investment products. The course also included training in investment for retirement, strategies for small business owners, and the management of deferred compensation plans. In addition, instruction will cover insurance, estate planning, asset protection, and tax reduction issues.
Todd is pleased to work with Ameriprise Financial, a financial services brokerage firm with a strong history of over 120 years.
